Hey, writers!

I’m planning something that is really exciting, and this might be the next step for you to get your story finished and revised. I’m going to work with a very limited number of writers in an online experience called The Revision Mastermind. This will echo the experience of multi-published authors revising their manuscripts and polishing them to a high gloss.

Those writers don’t take general, meant-for-anyone books and articles on revision and cram like for an exam.  They know their own voice and purpose. They revise based on their own specific scenes, their specific story, their specific voice, and their specific vision.

This is the kind of work I do with my one-on-one coaching clients. One-on-one is pretty expensive because it’s 100% personalized to their books. So I decided to open up a group mastermind, which will be more accessible, and also let writers learn from seeing their own and other people’s work being revised.

If you’ve ever wanted that level of personalized editing attention, but couldn’t afford it, well, that’s why I’ve designed this four-week Revision Mastermind. This will be especially helpful for experienced writers who want to learn how to self-edit and make the book match their original vision.  This how it will work:

  • This will be a small group (no more than five) of writers.

  • Each writer can submit one scene per week, so we can work on scene design in one week, description in another, voice in another, and sentences and grammar in the last one.

  • You’ll get personalized feedback on your scene—I’ll edit it on screen, and explain the editing decisions, and also show you how to revise for greater power.

  • I’ll share with you individualized revision strategies and skills that you can use in the rest of the story, and your other stories, to refine your voice and enhance the reader experience.

  • You’ll learn how to diagnose issues with the eye of an advanced author.

  • I’ll share techniques from years of experience as a writing teacher, multi-published author, and editor of hundreds of stories.

Small-group coaching means you will learn from your own work as well as the personalized instruction for every single mastermind member.

ALL YOU HAVE TO DO RIGHT NOW… IS LET ME KNOW IF YOU WANT TO BE NOTIFIED WHEN THIS OFFER GOES LIVE IN THE SPRING.
